This show will encourage the industrialists from Ludhiana to upgrade their technology so that they can make their industry competitive at international-level, to judge the requirements of the customer. In Europe, the cycle industry has created different segments to attract the customers and bicycles are used widely in Europe.
This will also help to develop the same market in India and to target the market already developed in Europe to increase the Export from India. Growth in Indian export will garner more revenue to reduce the trade deficit and improve the balance of payment position of our country further this will generate the employment in India.
Recently visit of China has already encouraged the industrialist that if they improve their quality, cost reduction and production capacity they will achieve their target and visit to European country will further encourage their moral and this is a good platform to show the presence of Indian Industry which is ready to show their competiveness at Global level and satisfy the customer as per their needs.
China which is no 1 in Cycle Industry while India is placed second but volume of production has huge gaps. Industry is keen to reduce this gap and want to attain larger share in Global market, said Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, president, UCPMA, Ludhiana, in a statement here today.
