Two killed in Delhi road accident

New Delhi, June 26 (IANS) Two students were killed and four of their classmates injured when the car they were travelling in jumped the road-divider and collided with an oncoming car, police said Thursday.

The incident took place at around 11.20 p.m. Wednesday near Mayur Vihar Phase-I metro station in east Delhi when the driver lost control over the car.

"After jumping the divider, the car collided with another car heading towards Mayur Vihar," said a police official.

The police official said the six engineering students, all in their 20s, were returning to Delhi from Noida.

The other car's occupants, a couple and a child, suffered only minor injuries, said the official.
