Toy Train At Rakh Bagh Ludhiana Starts After Almost Two Decades

Ludhiana, December 7, 2015: In a good news for the city residents, the "Toy Train" has started at Rakh Bagh after a period of more than two decades. This Toy Train is one of the many new facilities and attractions added to the Rakh Bagh. These facilities were inaugurated by Mayor Mr Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria and Deputy Commissioner Mr Rajat Agarwal today.
 
      It is pertinent to mention that for the last some time, the District Administration led by Mr Rajat Agarwal and Municipal Corporation had been making efforts for adding new facilities and attractions to Rakh Bagh. The Hero Group was given contract for upkeep and upgradation of Rakh Bagh, and the group has spent more than Rs 5 crore for this work.
 
     Today, the inaugurations included "Toy Train", "Organic Food Corner" and "Cycle Track". While providing information, Deputy Commissioner Mr Rajat Agarwal said that the "Toy Train" would run almost all days of the week, while the Cycle Track can be used by the city residents at any time. The Organic Food Corner would sell products prepared using organic products only.
 
      Mayor Mr Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria said that Ludhiana is being developed as both Loveable and Liveable city. He informed that Rakh Bagh would now be known as "O P Munjal Rakh Bagh" and he also appreciated the efforts of Hero Group in development and upgradation of Rakh Bagh. The Mayor informed that for the benefit of city residents, a cycle track has been developed along the Sidhwan Canal.
 
      Deputy Commissioner Mr Rajat Agarwal informed that they had kept the overall development of city as well as of Rakh Bagh in the Annual Development Plan 2015. He said that with the assistance of Municipal Corporation, several other parks would also be developed. 
 
      Prominent among those present on the occasion included Officiating MC Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori, Joint Commissioner Mr PS Ghuman, Mr Ranjodh Singh from Ludhiana Paddlers Club, Mr SK Rai, Mr Ashok Bawa, besides several others.
