Sushma Paul Berlia conferred 'Education Leader of the Year' Award at Asia Education Summit & Awards 2016

New Delhi, March 22, 2016: Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education Society; Co-Founder & Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University and Co-Promoter & President, Apeejay Stya &Svran Group, was conferred the 'Education Leader of the Year' Award at the glittering Asia Education Summit & Awards 2016 organised by the Worldwide Achievers at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi recently. Dr. NehaBerlia, Member, Management Board, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, received the prestigious Award on behalf of Mrs.Sushma Paul Berlia. The Award was presented by Ms.KirronKher, Member of Parliament; Dr.Udit Raj, Member of Parliament and Ms.DivyaDatta, Indian Film Actress.
"This award, like numerous other national and international awards that my mother, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia has received, continues to uphold the commitment of Apeejay Stya &Svran Group, towards quality and holistic education," said Dr Neha Berlia, daughter of Mrs.Sushma Paul Berlia. She added, "I look up to my mother as a role model to strive for the highest levels of excellence in education and in all other endeavours."
Mrs.Sushma Paul Berlia has made outstanding contribution in ensuring that the Apeejay vision of ‘Quality education of global standards leading to man-making and nation-building’ is effectively reflected in the conceptualization and standardization of the academic programs and curricula across all its institutions. She has strived to ensure that all Apeejay institutions actively incorporate value-based holistic education at all levels based on composite Indian culture and ethos for a responsive and responsible citizenship, and adopt inclusiveness through scholarships and special provisions for the differently-abled, to help absorb them into the mainstream.
At the same event, Apeejay Stya University has also been recognised with the ‘Best University with Innovative Pedagogy in North India’ Award, received by Dr. S.K. Salwan, Vice-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University. Other eminent dignitaries present on the occasion included ShriUpendraKushwaha, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Govt. of India; Shri MS Bitta, Chairman of the All India Anti-Terrorist Front, among others.
