Sukhbir greets U-19 cricket team for clinching Junior World Cup

Chandigarh, August 26: Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today felicitated the Under-19 cricket team of India on its historic victory against world’s top Australian cricket team in the final of Junior World Cup.  He said that this triumph would inspire budding stars towards more achievements in various fields.

Badal, who is also holding sports portfolio, said that by winning Under-19 Junior World Cup, Indian Cricket Team has proved that Indian youngsters have lots of caliber and talent and nobody could compete with them. He said that it was matter of proud for us that Indian cricket team has won under-19 title third time.

 

Extending greetings to the team led by Captain Unmukt Chand, especially Punjabi trinity Prashant Chopra from Faridkot, Sandeep Sharma from Patiala and Kamal Pasi of Amritsar for their hard work and performance shown on the land of Australia.
