Ludhiana, April 10, 2017: Students of KVM School, Civil Lines, studying in 10+2 (Medical) today visited DMCH to know about various departments, their functioning and other key areas of the hospital. It was exciting for all the students to have a feel of the place.
Assistant Dean Academics- Dr Sandeep Kaushal extended warm welcome to all the students and their accompanying teacher Mr Ashok Chugh. In his message, Dr Kaushal advised the students that they should pursue the field of Medicine only if they have a passion to be a doctor. Just joining this field because your parents wish you to become doctors is not the correct approach. The college campus of DMCH was shown to the students by Dr Hemlata Badyal and Dr Sonia Singh. They took them to various departments and laboratories located on different floors of College Campus.
After finishing the round of DMC College, students came to the hospital premises. Here, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri welcomed the students and enlightened them about various aspects of medical profession. In their interaction with Dr Puri, the students asked various queries and were satisfactorily answered.
Dr Dinesh Jain from the Department of Medicine took students for a round of various areas of the hospital including laboratories, Blood Bank, Emergency, ICUs and other areas of the hospital.
