Chandigarh, October 19, 2015: Punjab Chief Minister Mr.Parkash Singh Badal today asked all the heads of the departments, boards and corporations to immediately initiate the process of filling vacant posts reserved for the differently abled persons.
Chairing a meeting with the delegation of Punjab Handicapped Union here at CMO this morning, Mr.Badal also asked these officers to start special recruitment drive to clear the backlog of vacant posts reserved for differently abled persons at the earliest.
It was informed in the meeting that the state government had already issued detailed instructions to all the departments for sending comprehensive information related to posts lying vacant for differently abled persons so that the existing backlog could be cleared under this category at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the delegation led by its president Mr.Mangal Singh Sandhu thanked the Chief Minister for showing benevolence and special concern to their problems and assured him that they would strive hard to contribute for the development and prosperity of the state in their own humble way.
Prominent amongst other who attended the meeting included Principal Secretary to CM Mr. SK Sandhu, Special Principal Secretaries to CM Mr. KJS Cheema and Mr. Ajoy Sharma, Secretary Local Government Mr. Vikas Partap and Director Local Government Mr. Priyank Bharti.
