S.R.S Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Ludhiana wins Gold in Kho-Kho

Ludhiana, March 28, 2017: Today, final matches of Inter-Polytechnic College (Girls) tournament were played at S.R.S.Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Ludhiana. Hockey Olympian S.Hardeep Singh Grewal was honourable chief guest. Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Ludhiana defeated Polytechnic College, Katani in last league match with 14-02 and one innings and bagged gold medal. Ms.Beant Kaur of Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Ludhiana has been adjudged Best Player of the tournament. In earlier match today Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Patiala defeated Adesh Polytechnic College, Mukatsar and got silver medal. Polytechnic College, Katani remained at third place. Hockey Olympian S.Hardeep Singh Grewal and prominent games promoter S.Jagbir Singh Grewal distributed the prizes to the winners. They enlightened the students with importance of games in life. They lauded the extracurricular activities of college and encouraged the students to participate in other activities apart from their normal technical education.
College principal Sh.Mohinder Pal Singh gave away the prizes to the winners. He thanked all the participants, guests, coaches and team incharges for making the tournament a success.
