Seminar on Cyber Security at GGNIMT

Ludhiana, March 18, 2016 : Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & technology (GGNIMT) organized a seminar on “ Cyber security and Online Money making” for the BCA and MCA students here today.
Cyber security expert, Mr.Vikas Batta was the resource person for the day. Principal Dr.P.S Khattra accorded a warm welcome to the guest.
Mr Batta Initiated the session by the informing how network outages, data compromised by hackers, computer viruses and other incidents affect our lives in ways that range from inconvenient to life-threatening.
Highlighting the importance of cyber security, Mr. Batta pointed out that governments, military, corporations, financial institutions, hospitals and other businesses collect, process and store a great deal of confidential information on computers and transmit that data across networks to other computers. He further said that with the growing volume and sophistication of cyber attacks, attention is required to protect sensitive business and personal information. He shared tips and tricks to protect oneself on the cyber world.
Mr. Batta also enlightened the students by sharing ways to make online money with no investment. Director Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra thanked the guest for sharing valuable information with the students.
