Registration For Admission In Class 10+1 In Meritorious Schools Starts Today; To Continue Till July 27

Ludhiana, July 20, 2016: The registration for admission into class 10+1 in Meritorious Schools have started in the state from today onwards and it would continue till July 27, 2016. A help desk for assisting the eligible students of Ludhiana district has been set up at Shaheed-E-Azam Sukhdev Thapar Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Bharat Nagar, here. This was informed by District Education Officer (Secondary) Mrs Paramjit Kaur Chahal today.
She informed that Punjab government's Society for Promotion of Quality Education for Poor and Meritorious Students of Punjab is running nine meritorious schools in the state. These schools are located at Ludhiana, Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Mohali, Patiala, Gurdaspur, village Hakoomat Singh Wala (Ferozepur) and at village Ghabda (Sangrur).
The DEO (Secondary) informed that the registration for eligible students (who are studying in government schools and have scored more than 80% marks in matriculation) for admission in class 10+1 has started from today onwards and it would continue till July 27, 2016. She said that the eligible students can apply for registration into Meritorious Schools from their respective schools as well.
DEO (Secondary) Mrs Chahal informed that for assisting those students who are facing some problem in registration, a dedicated help desk, under the supervision of Mr Vishal Kumar, MIS Co-ordinator, has been set up at Shaheed-E-Azam Sukhdev Thapar Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Bharat Nagar, here. This help desk comprising experts would assist the eligible students and would remain operational from 9 am to 5 pm till July 27, 2016.
