Chandigarh, October 1, 2015: Mr Rajesh Bagha, Chairman, Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission today asked Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) to consider giving unlimited chances to Scheduled Castes Candidates in PPSC competitive exams like PCS and others as given in UPSC examinations.
He said that PPSC has been published advertisement for 101 posts with 04 chances for SC candidates..He said that Punjab Government should ensure that they be given unlimited chances as given by UPSC.
Mr. Bagha further said that UPSC has permitted a maximum of six attempts to every candidate and 09 to those belonging to other Backward Classes and unlimited to SC/ST candidates. He said that Punjab has to secure the interests of SC students as state has highest percentage of SC population in the country. He said that personnel department should intervene to bring about changes in the conditions of PPSC.
