Hoshiarpur, October 2, 2015: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Mr.Vijay Sampla distributed hearing aids worth Rs.2 crore to 890 persons during a hearing aid fitting camp organized by famous compeny star key foundation at JR Polytechnic collage this afternoon. The function was organized by US based Star Key Foundation in continuation of the camp organized on September 18 in which the beneficiaries were indientified and registered.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Sampla said the camp organize by Star Key foundation is an appreciable step to help those who are suffering of being hard of hearing. He told that in this camp not only the beneficiaries were only provided the hearing aides but also they were trained to use and maintain them properly. Sampla said that such camps would also be organised in future too as per the requirement of the people. On this occasion he paid the tributes to father of the Nation Mahatama Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniverary. He thanked the Distt Addiministration, College Management and NSS Volunteers for making this camp a success. He also praised Company MD Rohit Mishra, National Sales Manager Deepak Sharma and Regional Manager Naveen Satija for organizing the camp. MP Rajya Sabha Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna said that its a great moment that today on this great day of birth anniversary of two great leaders of the nation these beneficiary have received the aides which will assist them live better in future. Prior to this Union MoS Mr. Sampla and other dignitories were welcomed by Deputy Commissioner Ms Anindita Mitra, ADC Rahul Chaba, Principal Rachana Kaur and others. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
