SGPC President unanimously authorised to nominate five Sikh intellectuals to resolve the issue
Chandigarh, August 4, 2014: After the cancellation of the Panthic convention on the order of Jathedar Sri Akali Takht Sahib, a first meeting to sort out the issue between both  the faction was held today at Jagadhari  in which SGPC President Avtar Singh Makkar, the SAD Secretary General Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, General Secretary Balwinder Singh Bhunder  and Prof.Prem Singh Chandumajra and party Secretary and Spokesman Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema from the SAD side  and Parmjit Singh Sarna and Harwinder Singh Sarna both former Presidents DSGMC, Bhupinder Singh Asandh, Joga Singh,  Harpal Singh Pali member SGPC from Haryana side and Sikh scholar Dr. Prithipal Singh Kapoor also participated.
After prolonged discussion over the issue it was unanimously resolved that a committee comprising of five sikh intellectuals should be constituted which will deliberate on the issues in detail and suggest the solution keeping in view direction of Sri Akali Takht Sahib.
The President of the SGPC  being the head of the apex body for the management of Sikh shrines was unanimously authorised to nominate the members of the committee.
