Chandigarh, October 12, 2015: The Punjab Government has instructed all the Heads of Department, Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to submit complete information regarding the vacant posts to be given to the handicapped of the departments under their control so that recruitment process could be initiated at the earliest.
Disclosing this, an official spokesperson of Personnel Department said that the state Government has sought information on the vacancies of Group-A, Group-B, Group-C and Group-D and has sent written instructions to all the departments in this regard. According to the spokesperson, information sought by the Government includes Group, Name of Cadre, total sanctioned posts, vacant posts and written reasons for the posts remaining vacant.
He further said that the entire details be sent on a prescribed Performa along with a copy of the departmental rules to Director, Social Security and Development of Women and Children within seven days. He also said that if in any department there was no vacant post to be given to the handicapped then the same be communicated duly attested to the concerned department.
