PUNJAB notifies policy for PTP in skill development

Chandigarh, July 16, 2013: The Punjab government has notified a policy for involvement of established and leading private training providers (PTP) in the field of skill development in the department of Technical Education and Industrial Training.

Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Punjab government said that the policy is aimed at developing the skills of the youth of the Punjab on latest courses/technologies of skill development through private training providers in the industrial training institutes of the state.

He further said that the prospective private training provider (PTP) are invited to submit their proposal on prescribed format to start training programmes in the government industrial training institutes (ITIs) in Punjab. He said that the eligibility criteria and guidelines of policy can be seen on department’s website www.dtepunjab.gov.in/web/circulars_ITI/circulars_ITI.htm.
