A Blood Donation Camp being organised by Lions Club Ferozepur, Ashirwad in collaboration with Achievers Society (Department Society of ECE Department) on August 27 at SBS State Technical Campus (Poly Wing), Ferozepur.
Ferozepur, August 28, 2013: A Blood Donation Camp was organised by Lions Club Ferozepur, Ashirwad in collaboration with Achievers Society (Department Society of ECE Department) on August 27 at SBS State Technical Campus (Poly Wing), Ferozepur, which was inaugurated by Lion Dr. Jagdeep Joshi (Regional Chairperson).
As many as 66 students donated 66 units of blood under the supervision of 5 doctor’s team headed by Dr. Sushma Sethi of Civil Hospital, Ferozepur.
On this occasion Dr Lalit Sharma (HOD-Applied Sciences); Prof Gazal Preet Arnjea (Principal Poly Wing); Prof Gurjeevan Singh (Chairperson-Achievers Society); Lion Dr. Jagdeep Joshi (Regional Chairperson); Lion Er. S.P. Jakhu (President-Lions Club, Ferozepur Ashirwad); Lion Advocate Sandeep Sharma; Lion Dr.Jagdeep Joshi (Region Chairperson); Lion Deepak Sharma (Secretary); Lion Dr Ravinder Marwaha; Lion Dr Nirmal Joshi; Lion Dr Alok Batra; Lion Amit Batra (PRO) and Lion Gagan Aggarwal were present.
The valedictory function was presided over by Lion Darshan Monga (Past District Governor, 321 F) and Dr T S Sidhu, Campus Director. All the blood donors were felicitated with mementoes during the prize distribution ceremony. Dr Lalit Sharma (HOD-Applied Sciences); Prof Gazal Preet Arneja, Principal Polytechnic Wing; Prof Gurjeevan Singh (Chairperson-Achievers Society); Prof Ajay Kumar; Prof Manpreet Singh; Prof Rajnish Kumar; Prof Anuradha Rani; Prof Gobind; Prof Rahul Sharma; Sh Balwinder Singh Mohie (PRO); Sh Manjit Singh Bajwa; Sh Narinder Singh Bajwa and Sr Raj Kumar were also present during the prize distribution ceremony.
Lion Deepak Sharma (Secretary – Lions Club Ferozepur Ashirwad) appreciated the efforts of SBS Technical Campus and promised more such social activities in collaboration with SBSSTC will be organised in future for welfare of society. Prof Gurjeevan Singh, Head of Department ECE in his welcome address thanked all the guests and gave detail of achievements of ECE Department in the past one year. He also thanked T S Sidhu, Campus Director and Prof Gazal Preet Arneja, Principal Polytechnic Wing for encouraging students to voluntarily donate Blood during this Camp. In the end all Lion Club dignitaries were felicitated by Achievers Society.
In the end, Principal Polytechnic Wing, Prof Gazal Preet Singh, congratulated the Lions Club, Ferozepur Ashirwad and Achievers Society organising the Blood Donation Camp in the college campus.
