“Bharat Jago Daud” (Run for the Nation) being organised by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Technical Campus, Ferozepur.
Ferozepur, September 12, 2013: In “Bharat Jago Daud” (Run for the Nation) organised by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Technical Campus, Ferozepur, a programme dedicated to 150th birthday celebrations of Swami Vivekananda by the Government of India, in which about 3000 students and 50 staff members participated.
Bharat Jago Daud was flagged off by Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur. On this occasion, DC informed that this marathon is being organised in all the districts so that the youths of today are encouraged to know the view-point of Swami Vivekananda.
Campus Director, T.S.Sidhu informed, Swami Vivekananda has stated that education is main source of re-organisation of the society and he has spread the traditions and culture of the nation throughout the world.
He further said, the purpose of this marathon is to create awareness to gain the teachings of Swami Vivekananda so that a health and strong society is created.
On this occasion, Inderpal Singh, Registrar, Dr. A.K.Tyagi, Assistant Director, Prof. Gazalpreet Singh Principal Polywing, all heads of Departments, Dr.V.S.Bhullar, Director Physical Education, Balwinder Singh Mohie, Campus PRO, In-charge of various societies working in the campus and staff members were present.
