Punjab Kala Sahitya Academy honours R.S.Negi in Jalandhar

Dharamshala, October 13, 2017: Director Information and Public Relations Shri R.S.Negi was honoured with the 'Punjab Kala Sahitya Award' in an impressive function held at Jalandhar today by the Punjab Kala and Sahitya Academy. He was presented the Award by the former Minister of Punjab Shri Manoranjan Kalia, in the presence of Inspector General of Punjab Police Shri Arpit Singh and renowned litterateur of Punjab Shri Harminder Singh Bedi, noted writers, theatre personalities, journalists and other renowned people from different walks of life.
The Citation of the Academy lauded the over three decade services provided by Shri R.S.Negi in the Himachal Pradesh Information and Public Relations Department. It specially lauded the contribution of Shri Negi in the field of Public Relations.
Born on 12th December, 1958 in Dublig village of Pooh tehsil of Kinnaur district Shri Negi started his career in Information and Public Relation at Sub Editor in 1985. He worked at PRO in the Bakhra Beas Management Board for over nine years. He remained Senior Editor in Giriraj weekly from 2003 to 2012. Thereafter, Shri Negi promoted as Joint Director in 2012 and Additional Director in 2015. He was elevated to the post of Director Public Relation on 3rd October, 2016 keeping in view his vast experience. He was granted one year extension in service keeping in view his outstanding contribution for the Department.
