PUNJAB GOVERNMENT SEEKS APPLICATIONS TO CONSTITUTE JUVENILE JUSTICE BOARD & CHILDREN WELFARE COMMITTEES AT DISTRICT LEVEL

CHANDIGARH, NOVEMBER 10, 2017: Social Security and Development of Women and Children Department of the Punjab Government has sought applications to constitute the Juvenile Justice Boards & Children Welfare Committees at district level.

Disclosing this official spokesperson of the department said that under the Punjab State Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 Juvenile Justice Board & Children Welfare Committees are to be constituted in every district. He said that for the Juvenile Justice Board at district level 2 non-officio members are to be selected whereas one Chairperson and 4 members for every Children Welfare Committee are to be selected. He said that any person who meets the required qualification and experience for these posts could apply. The last date to apply for these posts has been fixed as 30, November 2017. Candidates could submit their forms complete in all respect in the concerned district program officers. For any information regarding the constitution of J.J. Board & Children Welfare Committee one could log on to the website of Ministry of women and child development, GoI at www.wcd.nic.in.

The concerned program officers in every district would forward the received applications to the Social security and development of women and children department with the recommendation of the respective Deputy Commissioner till December 10, 2017. The spokesperson clarified that the applications received earlier in the regard after the publication of such advertisements on August 13, 2016 and August 14, 2016 has been rejected and the now the fresh applications would only be considered.
