PU to organise its annual theme dinner on April 20s

Chandigarh, April 17, 2015: University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM) Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh would organise its annual theme dinner on April 20. ‘Pirates of the World’ would be the theme for this year on which the students of B.Sc. (Hotel Management) 3rd year would showcase their culinary and décor skills.

The students are preparing selected cuisines from Mediterranean, Scandinavian, Caribbean and African countries. To celebrate the occasion theme based décor of the restaurant Green Ivy is being done by the students, which would reflect a Pirate ship, which docs on the sea shore after the journey.

Internationally renowned Celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna would also attend the dinner. At this occasion his book titled Shaken & Stirred would be released in the city. On the same day one Mock Tail competition would also be organised at UIHTM, where the participants from different Hotel Management Institutes of the region would participate.

The programme and the interaction of Chef Vikas Khanna with the students would be held at ICSSR Seminar Complex PU on April 20 at 6 PM.

UIHTM Director Prof. Meenakshi Malhotra said that the students have invited the guests from tourism and hospitality industry along with academicians from various universities and colleges as well. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
