Jalandhar, November 10, 2012: Agitated by the order, 'delimitation of routes for auto-rickshaws', the Jalandhar Auto Rickshaw Workers’ Union has decided to not to celebrate  Diwali.

The union has also formulated an 'Ujara Virodhi Sangharsh Committee', which would be organising a flag march, right from Kartarpur to Jalandhar on November 13.

The order restricts auto- rickshaws from plying beyond the boundaries of the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation.

In a statement, Kashmir Singh Ghugshore, leader of the Sangharsh Committee and district secretary of the Pendu Mazdur Union, said that the city police had started installing nakas at the boundary points and also challaned lots of auto-rickshaws, to implement the orders.

The union leaders alleged that the implementation of the order would be hitting their earnings daily.
