4 smugglers arrested

Ferozepur, October 3, 2012: The Ferozepur police got a grand success with the arrested of four smugglers and recovery of 5 kg opium, 1.60 qtl poppy husk and three cars, at three different locations.

Giving this information, Varinder Pal Singh, SSP, Ferozepur informed that a police team headed by Pargat Singh, SI, CIA staff, Ferozepur on search of a car near village Khai Pheme Ke canals, recovered 3 bags of poppy husk of 20 kg each in the presence of DSP, Jagjit Singh and arrested the accused Didar Singh sarpanch of village Chak Khundar (Mamdot). 

Similarly, in the area of village Karian Pehalwan, recovered 5 bags of poppy husk of 20 Kg. each from Esteem Car and arrested two persons Jaspla Singh and Mukhtiar Singh of village Khundar (Mamdot)

In another case, Hardev Singh, In-charge, Narcotic Control Cell, Ferozepur has recovered 5 Kg opium on search of Indica car near village Killi and arrested the accused Ajaib Singh who identified himself as resident of village Silliwala Khurd (Tibbi), district Rajasthan.

After registration of two cases at Sadar Police Station, Ferozepur and one at Lakho Ke Behram, Police Station, under sections 15, 25, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act, the police started further investigation.
