Pranab's son retains Jangipur

Kolkata, May 16 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee's son Abhijit Friday retained the Jangipur Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal defeating his nearest rival Muzaffar Hossain of the Communist Party of India-Marxist by a slender margin of 8,315 votes.

Congress nominee Abhijit Mukherjee, who had won the seat in 2012 in a by-election, polled 3,78,032 votes this time.
