Jalandhar, July 17, 2015: Poetry recitation and writing competition was held at DIPS Gilzian . Students from class I to V participated in poetry recitation competition. This was held under the supervision  of  Principal Ms. Rekha Nayyar  and observation of Activity In-charge Ms.Pavneet Kaur. The selected students presented different poems in English. Some of them prepared beautiful charts showing the topics of their poems. Students were in full confidence and under the guidance of the House Masters they performed very well.

The judgment was done on the basis of the content, confidence and voice modulation.From each class two winners were announced- Baljot Singh and Jasmeet Kaur (I), Husandeep Kaur and Pawanpreet Kaur (II), Prabhjot Kaur and Muskanpreet Kaur (III) Sukhmanjeet Singh and Arshpreet Singh (IV), Shubhdeep Singh and Simranjeet Singh (V).

For class VI to X Poetry writing competition was organized. Through this competition students got a  chance to  pen down their  inner feelings in the form of poetry . The students wrote the poems of their own choices . The language of the poetry was English /Hindi/Punjabi . The  topics of the poetry were very interesting.From each class two winners were announced- Prabhjot Kaur and Harmandeep Kaur (VI) , Gurleen Kaur and Harpreet Kaur (VII), Samanjot Singh and Gagandeep Singh (VIII), Manpreet Kaur and Jasmeen Kaur (IX) Ankita and Arashdeep Singh (X).Judgment was done by  English HOD Ms Mandeep Kaur, Punjabi HOD Ms. Mandeep Kaur and  Hindi teacher Ms. Seema Goyal.

Principal congratulated them and encouraged them to do more efforts. Chairman of DIPS  Institutions Mr. Gurbachan Singh also sent his best wishes to the students.
