Jalandhar, July 26, 2016: Poetry is the expression of the soul and poem recitation is an art. Therefore a Poetry Recitation Competition was organized at Cambridge International School, Chotti Baradari for the students of Grade I-IV. But this time the poetry recitation had a twist, varied themes were given to the children to recite the poem in different languages ‘English, Hindi and Punjabi’ and also ‘French’ in Grade 4. The themes for the recitation for all grades differed from one another
Grade - I Grade -II
English- Childhood, Fun time English - Love and Care, Friendship
Hindi- Friendship, Good Habits Hindi- Cleanliness,Discipline
Punjabi- Nature Punjabi- Prayer

Grade -III Grade IV
English-Music, My Dream World English- My Inspiration, Weather
Hindi- Child labour, Inflation Hindi- Corruption, Global Warming
Punjabi- Good Habits Punjabi- Relationships

The children recited very intriguing poems.The judges were overwhelmed and impressed by the efforts of the young buddies and their love for the poetry.The participants’ level of confidence was amazing and it was a delight to watch these tiny wonders express themselves. Everyone was fascinated by the flawless performances of the children.Choosing the winners was not an easy task for the judges.
