PCTE students of journalism and mass communication bag top university positions

Ludhiana:  The students of PCTE Group of Institutes pursuing Journalism and Mass Communication course did spectacularly well and seven students of journalism were amongst top 10 University Position holders in the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical university examination.

Vinayka Sharma of batch 2019 bagged the 1st Position with 8.95 SGPA, Shweta Kapoor bagged the 2nd Position with 8.85 SGPA, Nishtha Jairath bagged the 3rd Position with 8.45 SGPA, Jayant Sharma and Parth Nanda bagged 5th Position with 8.25 SGPA. Sapna Verma bagged 7th Position with 7.75 SGPA and Nandini Arora bagged 9th Position with 7.55 SGPA

Vinayka Sharma said “I have achieved the university position by planning a proper schedule for my revisions and I feel like all my early morning study sessions were worth it. Besides this, I would like to thank my teachers and parents for motivating me.”

While Shweta Kapoor said “I am really overwhelmed with happiness and my parents are also very proud of me. I always had an aim to perform well in my academics and have worked hard towards it.”

Nishtha Jairath said “After grade 12th I took a gap of 1 year just to analyse the best field for me and then chose journalism at PCTE College. I earned 3rd rank in university by working really hard. At last I would say that your goals should be clear and then you can achieve anything in life.”

Prabhleen Kaur, Coordinator, Faculty of Journalism & Mass Communication said it is a proud moment for the department as we have bagged a number of positions. Students are hardworking and their dedication will surely help us to achieve more in the further exams.
