PCTE organises 13th Annual Athletic Meet

Ludhiana, February 26, 2016: 13th Annual Athletic Meet at PCTE Group of Institutes started with full rigor individual class March Past at the Campus. The students took the oath in full spirit followed by national anthem and displayed immense enthusiasm. About 700 students participated in various events like 100m race, 400m race, 1200m race, 3000m Race, Long Jump, Relay, Shot Put, for both girls and boys.

In 400m race for girls, Dipinder Kaur of MBA 1-C won the first position, Milandeep of B.Pharma 4th year won the second position and Emmneual of BCA 1-B won the third position. In boys category Rishab Sood of BBA-2C won first prize, Karamjeet Singh of B Pharmacy 2 won second prize and Jatin of B.Com 2 won third prize.

In Long Jump - boys category Jatin of B Pharmacy 4th year won first prize, Ansu of BCA 2B won the second prize and Jatin of B.Com 2 won the third prize and in girls gategory Depinder Sekhon MBA 1C grabbed 1st position followed by Milandeep of B.Pharmacy 4th year grabbed second position. Third position was grabbed by Emmneual of BCA 1-B.

In the event of 100m for girls, Milandeep of B.Pharma 4th won the first prize, Nitou of B.Com 3 won second prize and Kiran of ATHM 1st year won the third prize. In the event of Shot Put for boys, Jagdeesh of MBA- IB won the first prize, Vikramjeet Singh of MBA 2A won second prize and Denis Luthra of BHMCT 2nd year won third prize.

Overall Trophy of Athletic Meet 2016 was won by B.Pharmacy 4th year whereas Depinder Sekhon of MBA 1C won Best Athlete Award in girls category and Ansumana BCA 2B and Rishab Sood from BBA 2C won Best Athlete Award in boys category.

Dr. K.N.S. Kang, Director General of PCTE Group of Institutes said," That event like annual athletic meet are a great source of inspiration for mental and physical development of the students". He said that students should learn the art of team building and leadership which will help them in their professional career.
