Imperial Inaugural Golf Trophy Challenge tournament held in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, October 1, 2016: Imperial Inaugural Golf Trophy challenge tournament held today at the newly inaugurated Golf Course at Imperial Golf Estate, Ludhiana. Golfers from Ludhiana as well as other parts of Punjab and NCR vied for the coveted trophy. It was a nine hole par 36 contest and was played at the course designed by Nicklaus Design, a wholly owned company of golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.
The first 9 holes of Nicklaus design champion course were also launched today at The Imperial Golf Estate, Mullanpur, Ludhiana. The golf course was inaugurated by Mr. Pradeep Jain, Chairman, Emerald Lands (India) Private Limited. More than 150 professional and armature golfers participated in the tournament.
Mr. Ravi selected as the best player of the day, Best gross score (100) was achieved by Mr. Pukhraj Singh. Mrs. Asha Bawa selected as the best Lady Golfer.
Mr. Jain also announced that junior golf academy will be started soon in the golf course. We aimed that children should play golf and it is only possible when there will be options available to play the golf, said Mr. Jain.
Mr. Jain said, “Nicklaus designs has designed more than 375 golf courses in 36 countries including India. Imperial Golf Estate golf course bears the mark of Jack Nicklaus, undoubtedly, one of the most creative course designers present. Our golf course will be a real challenge not only for the golfers having various levels of handicaps but also for accomplished golfers”. Number of amateurs and professional golfers participated in the tournament.
Imperial Golf Estate promoted by Emerald Lands (India) Pvt Ltd which is developing 280 acre unique golfing community living in Ludhiana, abutting the Ferozepur Road in Mullanpur. First phase of this much anticipated project is almost complete with various types of residential accommodations available.
