Ludhiana, March 16, 2016 PCTE Group Of Institute organized Post Budget analysis 2016 at PCTE Campus-II. The event was embarked by some eminent speakers from the industry. Mr.M.S Dhillon, Joint Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Mr.Sanjay Malhotra, one of the leading Tax consultant with a illustrious past in the industry, Mr.Ashish Sehajpal, Assistant Professor at UBS and Mr.Rakesh Sukhija were present to discuss and analyze the key points of the budget 2016.

The event began with presenting the crux of the Budget 2016. In the later part various issues like Impact of Change in rate of service Tax and corporate Tax were bought in for the discussion. Students of MBA were part of the discussion. The agenda behind the event was to make the student aware about the Bad, the Worse and the Good partthe Budget 2016.

Students actively took part in the discussion. They raised various queries related to delay in introduction of GST on one hand and a series of cesses being introduced, the increase in public expenditure by government to give a push to economy brought up by Finance Minister and the impact of the changes like PAN disclosure for purchase of jewellery worth 2 lacs. The event was concluded by Mr. Rakesh by summarizing the Budget 2016.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said no doubt students are aware about key points introduced in the budget but they are not aware how they could encash the available opportunity bought to them with the introduction of new agendas in the Budget. This discussion would provide them with the clear vision of pros and Cons of Budget and how they can utilize the given opportunity. He also added that more of such events should be organized because it’s a teaching way of doing rather than simply knowing.
