PCTE Department of Fashion Design organises a Fashion Show

Ludhiana, February 14, 2018: PCTE Department of Fashion Design organised a Fashion Show that highlighted the creative talent of fashion designers who are in the IInd year of their graduation. The Fashion show featured the hard work of the students. The Show witnessed more than 20 individual design collections.The collection spanned the range, from Traditional Indian Wear to western chic. Explosions of colors, surface Embellishments and cutting-edge designs were the hallmarks of their the collections.

Though the show is only a one day event, but the preparations for it began at least 2 to 3 months prior. Every designer from the Fashion Design Department completely dedicated his/her time in creating the best of designs. The main motive behind this show was to give a platform to the students to showcase their collection and encourage them said Ms. Ruchi Chopra, Assistant Professor, Fashion Design Department.

Mr. Rajpreet Chatwal, Unit Head, said that the main objective of an educational institute is to train, evaluate and give opportunities to students to prove their mettle. Likewise, PCTE offers an incredible opportunity to its fashion designing students to display their creativity through fashion shows.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General congratulated the students and the faculty on successfully organizing the fashion show. He further added that it’s an opportunity given to students to showcase their talent as well as garner valuable experiences, it is through practical training and hands-on experiences like fashion shows that students get the confidence to move ahead to a professional level.
