PAU Entomologist Dr Vikas Jindal Gets Raman Fellowship

Ludhiana, July 15, 2016: Dr Vikas Jindal, Assistant Entomologist, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has been awarded India's prestigious "Raman Fellowship” for post doctoral research in USA. The fellowship is funded by University Grants Commission, New Delhi. Dr Jindal will work in Arthropod Molecular Physiology Laboratory in the Department of Entomology, Kansas State University, USA for one year starting from July18, 2016. His research project aims to identify the hemolymph peptide composition/neuropetides involved in nervous system of insects.

Dr R.S. Gill, Head, Department of Entomology said that it is a novel area of research in entomology and holds significance to understand the neuropeptides, playing an important role in insects.
