PAU All Set To Hold Youth Festival From Nov 27 - Dec 4

Ludhiana, November 26, 2015: A week-long “Inter College Youth Festival 2015-16” is all set to kick off tomorrow at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). There is a great zeal and zest among the students of PAU for participation in a vast array of items. The students would unleash their talent and creativity in fine arts, literary, music, dance and theatrical events.

Divulging contours, Dr R.K. Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare and Chairperson of the youth fest, said the youth fest would kickstart at Students’ Home, PAU at 9.30 a.m. On the first day (November 27), collage making, creative writing and cartooning events would be organized whereas on the second day (November 28), poster making, debate, clay modeling and poetic recitation/haas rassevents would be held, she informed. Besides, on the spot painting, extempore/elocution and rangoli events would be conducted on November 29, she said. Photography, shabad gayan (group and solo) and quiz competitions would be held on November 30. The formal inauguration of youth fest would be held at Open Air Theatre on December 2 and folk songs, solo dances and music items would be organized on the same day, she said. Dr Dhaliwal further informed one act play, mimicry and mime events would be held on December 3 followed by skit, mono acting, folk dances and prize distribution function on December 4.
