Chandigarh, November 4, 2016: Panjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover has expressed satisfaction that PU is consistently being ranked among the top universities of the country by different national and international rankings.
Prof Grover said that the competition is very tough among all the leading universities and institutions of the country. All Universities, IITs and IISc have their unique strengths and get different scores as per different criteria’s and
parameters.
The credit of the success goes to talented students, hard working research scholars and passionate teachers of the University, Prof Grover added.
PU Spokesman said that the Panjab University is consistently being ranked amongst the top universities in the country. It is a matter of happiness that PU has improved its US News Best Global Universities Rankings. In the previous year ranking for 2016, PU was second amongst the institutions of country, but first amongst the universities but it has improved to first in 2017 US News Best Global Universities Rankings in India. For last two years, PU is second after Jadavpur University in THE world rankings. PU is among best four in QS rankings and 8th in NIRF ranking, he added.
