Panjab University organises inspiration awareness event for girl students

Chandigarh, October 22, 2016: Panjab University (PU) organised an “awareness mission programme” for more than 500 underprivileged orphans and downtrodden girl students from rural schools of Punjab. This event was a part of the 10th Educational Tour supported by unique programme run by “Hukran Brothers” held in the R.C.Paul auditorium of Department of Chemistry, Panjab University.
Pushed by Prof.Arun Kumar Grover, Vice Chancellor, PU, himself, the program covered students from standard 9th to 12th.
Dr. Rohit Kumar Sharma coordinated the program that helped in enhancing the awareness of students regarding the opportunities available for them in PU and other institutions through an interactive session. The post-graduate students of the university also apprised school students of their experiences during the interaction. One of the speakers, a representative from J. W. Marriot hotel, Chandigarh shared his observations and inferences with the students regarding the opportunities available in hotel management and related areas.
