Orders For Installation Of CCTVs  In Marriage Palaces, Malls, Petrol Pumps & Money Exchanges Within 30 Days

Ludhiana, October 21, 2015: Mr Paramraj Singh Umra Nangal, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, today stated that sometimes, the anti-social elements, at the time of filling of petrol/diesel/LPG from the petrol pumps falling within the jurisdiction of Commissionerate Ludhiana used to snatch cash or other valuable articles and sometimes they used to snatch cash, purses, gold ornaments, or other valuable articles at crowded places such as shopping malls, marriage palaces and money exchange offices. In order to prevent any annoyance, injury to any person and to prevent any danger to human life and in order to check illegal activities of anti-social elements and further keeping in view the public safety, Mr Umra Nangal while exercising the powers of Executive Magistrate under section 144 of CrPC has directed all petrol pumps, marriage palaces, shopping malls and money exchanges to install CCTV';s within a period of 30 days from today. These orders would remain in force for two months from today.
      Mr Paramraj Singh Umra Nangal, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, under section 144 of CrPC 1973 (Act Number 2 of 1974) has banned the sale, cutting and preparation of meat and other poultry products on the occasion of Pargat Diwas of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji on October 27, 2015. He said that these orders have been issued keeping in view the religious sanctity of this occasion and the sale, cutting and preparation of meat and other poultry products. The Commissioner of Police has banned that all shops/rehris selling, cutting and preparing meat and other poultry products and slaughter houses would remain closed on October 27, 2015.
      The Commissioner of Police, under section 144 of CrPC 1973 (Act Number 2 of 1974), has also ordered that the shops selling uniforms of army and other para military forces would maintain proper record of the sale. He said that name, address and identification card of the purchaser would also be duly mentioned in the sale register. He has ordered that the shopkeeper would submit the sale record with area police station every month without fail and if any shopkeeper fails to maintain this monthly record, he would be liable for legal action. He said that these orders have been issued because sometimes these uniforms are misused by anti-social people. These orders would remain in force for two months from today.
      Taking action under section 144 of CrPC  (Act Number 2 of 1974), Police Commissioner Mr Paramraj Singh Umra Nangal has banned the serving of eatables without wearing gloves at all shops and rehris selling fast food. Street food etc. He has ordered that any person serving all kinds of eatables must wear gloves all the time. In his orders, the Police Commissioner has informed that it has come to his notice that some people don';t wear gloves while serving eatables in shops and rehris, which leads to several diseases and health related problems and poses risk to their lives. These orders would remain in force for two months from today.
      The Commissioner of Police, under section 144 of CrPC 1973 (Act Number 2 of 1974), has also ordered that no person would be allowed to cover his or her face while driving any vehicle or while walking on the street. He said that this ban has been imposed because the criminals can go scot free after committing a crime as they would not be identified with covered faces. These orders would remain in force for two months from today.
      Mr Umra Nangal, under section 144 of CrPC 1973 (Act Number 2 of 1974), has banned the use of stickers or logo';s (blue and red stripes which is the Punjab Police Colour) or installation of plates with designations of political parties on vehicles as they could be easily misused by anti-social elements.
