Jalandhar, June 22, 2015: NSS and NCC department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar celebrated International Yoga Day with collaboration of Punjab Girls Battalion NCC Jalandhar. The NCC cadets (Army Wing) HMV College, participated in the Yoga Day alongwith 860 NCC cadets (girls) from different colleges of city – KMV, BD Arya College. PCM SD College, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Trinity College, Govt. School Nehru Garden, Kendriya Vidyalaya – 1, Cantt. Board School, SGN Public School and Govt. Co-ed. School. HMV has been selected as nodal centre for Yoga by 2nd Punjab Girl Battalion, Jalandhar.
On this day, NSS Volunteers of HMV, Laurels of girls from sports departments also participated and thrilled the yoga asans.
Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj was the chief guest. The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Rajiv (Co-ordinator NCC Wing), Mrs. Saloni Sharma, Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur (Head NSS), and Mr. Amarjit Khanna were also present on the occasion. Principal Dr. Bhardwaj motivate the students and asked them to follow Yoga and discipline in life.
