National training programme on Practical Pediatric Heamatology held at DMCH

Ludhiana, July 4, 2016: National training programme on Practical Pediatric Heamatology held at D.M.C.& Hospital, Ludhiana.
A two day training program on Practical Pediatric Haematology was organised by the Department of Pediatrics, DMC Ludhiana. The gathering was given a warm welcome by Dr.Puneet Aulakh Pooni, Prof & Head Department of Pediatrics. She emphasised the need of such workshops to disseminate recent advances in the field.
Dr. Sandeep Puri, Principal DMCH said DMC is known for its commitment to scientific temper, felt proud to be associated with many such programs. He hoped that the training program will help to improve the comprehensive care of children suffering from various blood disorder in the entire region.
The Chief Guest Dr. Anupam Sachdeva, President (elect) Indian Academy of Pediatrics and a DMCH alumni in his inaugural address urged budding Pediatricians to take up the field of Pediatric Heamatology /Oncology and always strive to learn but practices, contribute to and advances the field of knowledge and shared the vision of blood disorder free future.
The workshop was attended by 55 delegates from all over Punjab & Delhi specialists from various civil hospitals of Ludhiana district.
