Chandigarh, November 2, 2015: The Screening Committee comprising Mr.Jagpal Singh Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Mr.Karan A Singh, Financial Commissioner Revenue, Mr.Suresh Arora, DGP, Punjab and headed by Chief Secretary Punjab, Mr.Sarvesh Kaushal today recommended the names of Mr.Samant Kumar Goel, IPS, ADGP and Mr.Anil Kumar Sharma, IPS, ADGP for promotion in the rank of DGP.
Screening committee further recommended the names of 4 officers of 1997 batch IPS officers for promotion as Inspector General of Police. The names included Mr. Pawan Kumar Rai, IPS, Mr. Nonihal Singh, IPS, Mr. Arun Pal Singh, IPS, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal,IPS . For the IPS officers of 2002 batch, the Screening Committee recommended the names of Mr. Pradeep Kumar, IPS, Mr. Gursharan Singh, IPS, Mr. Kanwar Bahadur Singh, IPS for grant of selection grade.
The annual confidential reports and other records/details of these officers were reviewed in detail by the committee before recommendations of the names for empanelment.
