MOU Signed Between PRTC And Indian Oil Corporation

Chandigarh, August 10, 2015: In a step that could be termed as financially beneficial to the P.R.T.C., the Indian Oil Corporation has given exemption of .25 paisa per litre to P.R.T.C.

Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Transport Department said that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed in this regard.

The spokesman further said that Mr. R.S.Nanda, Prem Kumar, Mr. P.K. Dass & Mr. Harvinder Singh Kainth of Indian Oil Corporation and M.D. Mr. Manjit Singh Narang, Mr. R.K. Behal & Mr. Mohan Singh of PRTC have signed the MoU. He further said that MOU has been signed for three years and PRTC would save Rs.2.10 crore during the next three years.

The spokesman further said that due to signing of this MoU, the P.R.T.C could save Rs.19000 per day, Rs.6 lac per month and Rs.70 lac annually. It is mentioned here that PRTC is purchasing diesel from Indian Oil Corporation. PRTC Buses are covering 2.5 lac kilometre area with the consumption of 75 thousand litre diesel daily.
