Author(s):
Chandigarh, November 9, 2015:  The Finance Budget Branch-II of the Finance Department Punjab has issued orders to all the Heads of the Departments, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, District and Sessions Judges as well as Registrar, Punjab and Haryana High Court to immediately deposit the government money lying in their respective bank accounts into the State Account.
Orders state that it has been observed that in many offices the government money is withdrawn from the treasury and is thereafter deposited in bank accounts, which is a gross breach of Financial Rules. They have been directed to immediately ensure the deposition of the amount into the departmental receipt head and the interest credited by bank on the same into the ‘0049- Interest Received’ account of the government at the earliest and intimate the action taken to the Finance Department Punjab.
