Milkha Singh regrets country fails to produce second “Milkha Singh” even after gap of 55 years

Ludhiana, January 19, 2014: Flying Sikh Padma Shri Milkha Singh has regretted that the country had failed to produce second “Milkha Singh” even after gap of 55 years.
He was speaking on the occasion of the ongoing sports festival at Sports Stadium at Jarkhar village, near here, on Sunday. When he arrived in the stadium, the spectators gave him a warm welcome with waiving of hands and clapping.
On the occasion, he also inaugurated his statue in the stadium. Reacting over it, he said the tradition of installing his statue started in the stadium at Jarkhar would go a long way and surely produce players like Milkha Singh and Dhyan Singh in the future.
