New Delhi, July 1, 2015: Young and upcoming students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology from across India came together today to showcase their talent through some of the best design collections as the two-day JD Annual Design Awards opened today.
 
India’s indigenous creativity in fashion goods and services is something to be discovered and promoted at this year's JD Annual Design Awards 2015 The annual event promoted showcased and celebrated the richness and diversity of India's cultural heritage driven by the fashion industry and its talents.
 
Being presented by JD Institute of Fashion Technology, the two day fashion carnival of ‘fashion’ energy will showcase creations designed by the students of fashion, interior and jewellery design departments on the theme ‘PURE’ highlighting the first thought that comes in the mind and follow that first thought fearlessly and curiously.
 
The Innovative Collection Award was won by Impure Theme, Best Collection Award by evanscenes theme and Special Award for using innovative fabric dye material(ratanjot herb) was given to DNA theme. All these themes were presented by the students of JD Institute.
JD Annual Design Awards is one of the biggest platform for students not only to showcase their flair but an opportunity to work with leading designers and be seen and recruited by leading brands in India and abroad.
 
Every evening beginning from today, masterpiece deigns and exhibition will be staged for the fashion lovers of the capital. Ms.Lipika Sud and Ms.Sunita Kohli inaugurated two-day Fashion carnival-JD Annual Design Awards2015.
Rohit Bal,Tarun Sheinh,Ajay Mehra presided over the opening day of the festival as Chief Guest.
 
Whether it was hand-knit yarm, layering of fabrics, or covered in zippers, prints, or hints of leather, everything was appealing to the eye and put together in the most beautiful way. I love getting inspiration for how to put pieces together, or how to mix and match different fabrics and prints to make an outfit truly my own,said Rohit Bal,the famous Fashion Designer.
 
"This year, we want to demonstrate that fashion is not only a vehicle to promote cultural exchange but also it has the potential to be a lucrative venture that employs large number of people in the region. The textile and clothing industry can generate more jobs and make a substantive contribution to government revenues in India if more attention is given to it,”said Rc.Dalal,Exceutive Director,JD Institute of Fashion technology.
