Mega Job Fair at HMV

Jalandhar, February 20, 2015: A mega job fair was organised by Placement Cell of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya in association with NIIT, GENPACT, AON-HEWITT, COMPETENT CHD, NIIT Ltd., KOCHAR INFOTECH, HCL, ADECO, ECLERKS, ICICI, Serco Infotech, Surmounte Softech and many other local companies from Banking, Insurance and Software Development Sector participated in this job fair.  The job fair was open to all the final year students of graduation and post graduation as well as pass out students. 

Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj inaugurated the job fair and accorded a warm welcome to representatives of various companies.  She said that such job fairs boost the confidence level of the students and provide them an excellent platform for placements.  Utkarsh Gupta, Industry Collaboration Manager, North, NIIT Ltd., New Delhi and Mala Khurana from NIIT Jalandhar conducted a session ‘Prayaas’ in which they enlightened the students industry trends.  ‘Prayaas’ provided general guidelines of making CV’s, handling pressures at the time of interview.  They also briefed about the participating companies. 

The job fair was conducted at different venues simultaneously.  More than 600 students of various streams like Engineering, MBA and MCA and from different districts of Punjab participated in the fair. 

Principal Dr. Rekha Kaia Bhardwaj honoured the representatives of companies.  Gullagong, the Overall Incharge of fair and Ravinder Mohan Jindal thanked the guests.
