Ludhiana, May 25, 2025: The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the bye-election to the Ludhiana (West) assembly constituency. The notification for the election will be issued on 26th May, 2025 (Monday).
As per the schedule, the last date for filing nominations is 2nd June, 2025 (Monday). Scrutiny of nominations will take place the next day, on 3rd June, 2025 (Tuesday). Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations until 5th June, 2025 (Thursday).
Voting for the bye-election will be held on 19th June, 2025 (Thursday). The counting of votes is scheduled for 23rd June, 2025 (Monday). The entire election process is expected to be completed by 25th June, 2025 (Wednesday).
The bye-election is being held to fill the vacancy in the Ludhiana (West) assembly seat. With the poll dates now announced, political activities in the region are expected to intensify.
