More than 200 contestants participated from all over Ludhiana

Ludhiana, October 5, 2018: PCTE Group of Institutes witnessed a heavy dose of glitz and glamour today by organizing PCTE Mr.and Miss Ludhiana - a Pageant where more than 200 contestant around the city participated. These auditions marked the beginning of the most awaited fest of the city Fest-A-Week 2018, An Annual College fest.

These auditions were judged by a panel comprising of three judges the very famous- Ms. Aditi Sharma who has represented India internationally and won the title of Mrs. India Beauty Queen 2016, Mrs India Globe 2016 & also Represented India at Mrs Globe 2016, China. Another very famous judge included Ms. Bobby Layal who owns the title of Miss India InterContinental 2012 & Represented India in Asian Super Model China 2011. Ms. Layal is also a famous singer and actress. The third judge for the event was Mr. Aakash Bansal, Founder, RAGE- one of the largest women’s knitwear company in India.

Ms. Benitha who participated in the contest said that “it was a very good opportunity for the people." She further added being in pageants is not just about beauty. It is more about serving to the community, being a role model and making a difference.

The pageant was filled with glamour and intellectual life where 40 contestants got selected in the semi final round to be held on 10th October and final round on 11th October; the selected contestants got one step closer to the opportunity of winning cash prize worth Rs 70,000. The semi-finalists will be 40 in number out of which 14 finalists will be selected for the final round. They will be choreographed by Nikit Kapoor who started his fashion career by winning the title of Mr. PCTE 2015 and being the innovator behind shows like Mr. and Miss vogue, Fashion Walk, Delhi Style Week etc. Also being the owner of his own Modeling Agency KNACK Management.

“It was a nostalgic moment for me, to reconnect to my roots,” said Ms. Aditi Sharma one of the jury members. “I started my journey here from PCTE and I feel immensely proud to come back here as a judge.” She further added that “To me beauty is about being comfortable and believing in you. The best project you’ll ever work on is your own self.

“All I want to say is that it doesn’t matter who you are and where you come from and also whether you have enough resources to fulfill your dreams. All that matters is your determination and passion to fulfill your aim,” signs off the glamour diva - Ms. Bobby Layal.

Mr. Aakash Bansal, one of the judges expressed his views on this moment. “I am seeing Ludhiana this glamorous for the first time, thanks to PCTE for making it happen.”

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General congratulated the entire team for successfully organizing the event at a big level. The extremely tired judges, was an evidence that the participating numbers were pretty huge. He congratulated all the contestant who took up the courage to participate in the contest. He further added that "such Pageants teach the goal setting, the “I can do it” attitude, helps a lot to perform even under pressure and it can make a building path for careers also."
