Ludhiana, October 24, 2015: Ludhiana Group of Colleges, Chaukimann organised the fresher Party. The proceedings of the programme began with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by religious song and the presentation of various cultural items. The Director Dr.J.K Chawla, Principal of Engineering Department Dr.A.K Singh and Principal of Management Department Dr.Jaskiran Kaur showed his gratitude towards the institute and further said, “Participation in extra-curricular activities is must with studies for a student which will help him in the overall development of the personality. This will help him to lead a successful life in future.’’ They advised the students to draw inspiration and benefit themselves from the rich educational environment of the institution in order to attain excellence in the area of teacher education.
The main attraction of the Fresher Party was its cultural program. The students were awarded with prizes for their valuable national and international achievements during the program. The audience was revitalized listening to the mellifluous songs sung by the students. Further in the program, students presented various items like Solo Dance, Rangoli, Modelling, Poems, Rap, Drama, Songs and group dance on the Punjabi Songs which was highly applauded by the audience. Students also presented Bhangra and Gidha making the atmosphere more colorful. Students showcased their extraordinary talent by participating in singing and dancing competition making the atmosphere pleasant. The students of First year Jagraj Singh got position of Mr. Fresher, Anmol got position of Miss Fresher, Rishabh got postion of Mr. Handsome and Baljeet Kaur got position of Miss Beautiful.
Along with these performances the students were also awarded with prizes mementoes for their participation and contribution in various sports, study and cultural activities round the year. The prizes mementoes were distributed to students by Management Sh. Rajeev Gulati and Sh. Vikram Grover. During on it, the Management encouraged to students for this. They told to students that the students should participate more than more these kind of activities so that could finish intoxicants kind of disease for always. They promised that these kind of activities would be organized in the future and also will be rectified the personality of students. The all students of the college had given their entire corporation in this function.
