LOK SABHA ELECTIONS 2019: THREE MORE NOMINATIONS FILED FOR LUDHIANA PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCY ON DAY 4

Ludhiana, April 25, 2019: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019, three more candidates filed their nomination papers on the fourth day today. These include Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu and Mrs Anupama from Indian National Congress, while Mr Lal Chand Rao as an independent. The total nominations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections had started on April 22, 2019 and till now, a total of eight candidates have filed their nomination papers. On the first day of filing of nominations, two persons namely Mr Baldev Raj Katna from Nationalist Justice Party and Mr Jai Parkash Jain as an independent, had filed their nomination papers, no nominations were filed on day two while three candidates namely Mr Ravinder Pal Singh and Mr Jasdeep Singh (both as Independents), while Mr Daljit Singh from People's Party of India (Secular) had filed their nominations. Three nominations were filed today. District Election Officer Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal today informed that the filing of nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 elections would continue till April 29, 2019. The scrutiny of the nominations would be done on April 30, 2019, and the last date of withdrawal of candidature would be May 2, 2019. The nominations for the upcoming elections would be filed in the office of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer situated in District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana from 11 am to 3 pm from April 22-29, 2019, excluding April 27 (Saturday) and April 28 (Sunday). Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal urged the candidates that to save themselves from last minute hassle, they can also pay their security fee in advance. He informed that the security fee can be paid in the office of Mr Rajan Dhall, Election Kanugo at Room Number 116, first floor, Tehsildar Elections Office, District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana from 9 am to 5 pm on any working day. He stated that this security fee can also be paid by the candidates on the spot (at the time of filing nominations). Besides this, for getting the certified copy of voters list, the candidates should apply at Room Number 123, first floor, Tehsildar Elections Office, District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana from 9 am to 5 pm on any working day. He urged all the candidates to complete the necessary formalities in advance.
