Jalandhar, June 30, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage and Autonomous institution, Jalandhar 2 Pb (G) BN NCC, Jalandhar is conducting its annual training Camp. In the camp NCC cadets from 19 Institutions across Jalandhar are receiving the training. Apart from regular subjects Social Sensitization is a vital part of the camp. Around 400 girls Cadets were centrally given a lecture on Traffic Rules by ASI Shamsher Singh who stressed that every traffic rule should be followed both in word and spirit as it could save many precious lives. Untimely deaths caused social havoc and left the fabric of the society badly torn. He reminded the cadets about police emergency helpline numbers like 100, 108 and 1091. Victims of accidents could be helped without any hassel as according to the rules the person who brings the victims to a private/public/government hospital will not face any police inquiry. The hospital will give immediate medical help to an accident victims without waiting the arrival of the police and hence one could have the satisfaction action of having saved lives without any problem. He also made the cadets familiar with different types of road signs. Some were mandating i.e. compulsory while others were cautionary or informatory. The staff of the camp along with the cadets pledges to follow the traffic rules and also exhort all those who came in their contact to obey the traffic rules both in letter and spirit. Camp commandant Col Jasbir Singh Honoured ASI Shamsher Singh with a memento and thanked him warmly for having imparted such useful information.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the organizers of the camp specially the camp commandent for having organized a lecture on such a socil vital issue for the Young girls as it was mostally the youth who were active on roads.
