Kuantum Papers and Uddhaar organize Artificial Limb Donation and Fitment Camp in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, March 20, 2024: Kuantum Papers, a pioneering manufacturer of superior quality writing and printing, copier, and specialty paper, is embarking on a transformative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Renowned for its commitment to sustainability, the organization joins hands with Uddhaar NGO, to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals in need.  They are set to host a three-day camp at Infosys Foundation Red Cross Sarai, Chandigarh to donate and fit 200 artificial limbs during the camp. This humanitarian gesture underlines Kuantum Papers’ dedication to providing access to prosthetic limbs for underprivileged people.

In an effort led by Ajesh Gupta, Senior General Manager Administration, said "Our motive for conducting this camp is rooted in our belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life. Through the donation of artificial limbs, we hope to empower individuals and enhance their quality of life. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility extends beyond business operations; it reflects in our ethos of compassion and empathy."

The medical camp will offer fittings of artificial limbs for patients, with a team of experts, who themselves are differently abled and will be present to assist during fitting sessions. Volunteers from Kuantum Papers will ensure the smooth operation of the event and provide support to beneficiaries.

This CSR endeavor is a continuation of Kuantum Paper's longstanding tradition of community engagement and support. Previous initiatives include providing quality education for local children through a subsidized public school managed by the mill management, organizing free medical check-ups and awareness camps in surrounding villages, and actively participating in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan by constructing prefabricated toilet facilities.
