KMV Concludes a Seven-Day NSS Camp with Focus on Community Service and Sustainability
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully concluded a seven-day NSS camp based on the theme “Youth for My Bharat” and the ideology “Not Me But You.” The camp aimed at providing students with hands-on experience in community service and fostering a spirit of social responsibility among the volunteers. Throughout the week, participants actively engaged in a wide range of meaningful activities designed to promote holistic development.
Jalandhar, April 13, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully concluded a seven-day NSS camp based on the theme “Youth for My Bharat” and the ideology “Not Me But You.” The camp aimed at providing students with hands-on experience in community service and fostering a spirit of social responsibility among the volunteers. Throughout the week, participants actively engaged in a wide range of meaningful activities designed to promote holistic development.
Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, in her valedictory address, emphasized that Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has consistently taken initiatives aimed at community development. She highlighted key national priorities such as a drug-free India, healthy communities, environmental protection, sustainability, social harmony, and youth empowerment, encouraging NSS volunteers to align themselves with these national development goals.
The camp included various impactful activities such as cleanliness drives, tree plantation, SVEEP awareness programmes, a special drive promoting the adoption of PNG and CNG, and group discussions on topics like the “Waste-to-Energy Model” and revival of biogas adoption. These activities helped students gain practical exposure to pressing environmental and social issues.
By the end of the camp, participants developed strong bonds of friendship along with a renewed sense of purpose to bring positive change in society. The experience inspired many students to take on leadership roles and to spread the knowledge and values they gained during the programme within their communities.
In the valedictory session, awards and certificates were distributed to participants, with special recognition given to those who demonstrated exceptional dedication and service. Prof. Dwivedi also congratulated Dr. Ashima Sahni (NSS Programme Officer), Dr. Sonik Bhatia, Anand Prabha, and Priyanka for their contributions.
